Harmonizing the Body, Mind and Soul

It's been sooooo busy this entire year. The winter holidays are the best time to find time for yourself and relax. Whether if it's going on a family vacation to the tropics, or a staycation with daily getaways, both are a great way to unwind and reset.


I was recently at Go Place in Markham. Let me tell you if you haven't been to Go Place yet, this place is the SPOT 😉 you will feel super relaxed and sooooo pampered.


I remember this location being a movie theater years ago, now turned into a spa. This was my first visit and I will be returning for sure. You are greeted at the door and provided a wrist band at the front desk. You will need to head upstairs to the spa, where you will be provided with a locker and a set of clean clothing to wear within the spa. They have spa services, where you can book a massages, facial, or a body treatment. You can use the sauna rooms, cooling room, gym, jacuzzi or steam room to help harmonize the body, mind and soul. I was super excited to visit all the rooms before leaving.


They have 7 sauna rooms:

  • Salt Room

  • Jade Room

  • Volcanic Rock Room

  • Ice Room

  • Agate Room

  • Amethyst Room

  • Infrared Room

My all time favorite was the agate room. Just the right temperature to help warm up the body to begin my detox (join me in my free 7-day Clean detox in January 2023 - see below for more info). Many people like start the year off with a detox in January, however in my case, I like to end the year off with a good detox. This way I begin my year off with a clear mind with wellness being the top of my list and setting my body up for healthy habits.


Keep in mind that you will be spending all day here. You will be laying around and finding yourself in a state of total relaxation. This meditative state provides the body, mind and soul the rest needed to prepare us for our busy day-to-day lives we live.


If you need a meal or snack. They have a restaurant with a good variety of tasty menu options and herbal teas to help you stay hydrated. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids since you will be spending most of the day in sauna rooms.


Selfcare is one of those essential things we often don't think about or feel we don't have time for. But taking care of yourself, your health and mental well being is so important.
